Wipro is hiring a strategic communicator to support its growing storytelling and experiences team in Internal Communications.

We're seeking an experienced communicator to help us develop, manage, and deliver strategic communications programs. They must be able to think in various ways, understand business imperatives, have emotional intelligence, and be willing to do whatever it takes. The strategic lead will also be responsible for offering an immersive onboarding experience to new hires in the geo, including leadership.

The Internal Communications lead provides communications advice and support to various corporate functions and leaders to help them effectively engage with employees in both physical and virtual locations, including on decisions that may have an impact on the employee experience and the organization's reputation, as well as developing risk mitigation and risk management strategies.

The ideal candidate will have a track record of operationalizing global projects while keeping them locally relevant and managing programs, material, and events across several centers and teams.

Responsibilities:

Internal Communications

- Create and implement communication programs, campaigns, content, and tools that will engage Wipro's global workforce.

- Your goal will be to ensure that our employees receive information that's relevant to them in an organized, consistent, and timely manner via channels that are easy to access, search and consume content from.

- Collaborate with various business departments, both at a global and regional level, including HR, to create effective communications strategies that inform employees about Wipro's benefits and other topics.

- Ensure that all communications are written with a diversity and inclusion lens to represent us as a globally diverse and inclusive brand.

- Develop vital internal communications components of big external announcements in collaboration with external communications and social media teams.

- Identify relevant communication channels (All Hands meetings, video messages, intranet, newsletters, blogs, internal social media tools (Yammer), team meetings, etc.) to ensure that all messaging reinforces our culture and that we have consistent, intentional themes weaved throughout communications.

- Adopt a data-driven approach and work to deliver a highly engaging tactical plan that's well integrated with the overall comms strategy and objectives.

Onboarding and experience

- Deliver engaging and energizing Day-1 onboarding experiences to new hires, including leadership

- Exhibit a deep understanding of Wipro's strategic priorities, geo and business focus, EVP, D&I charter, L&D pillars, geo-focused employee resource groups, local initiatives, and culture while engaging with new hires

- Create and curate interactive/new age/experience and purpose-led onboarding sessions that bring the #OneWipro story alive.

The ideal candidate:

- Is comfortable moderating large employee gatherings including virtual and offline sessions.

- Performance skills and a clear voice with the ability to take the initiative and make quick decisions under pressure.

- Is personable and has a confident manner. Has the ability to generate original ideas

- Has experience delivering results globally in a matrixed organization.

- Can navigate, interact effectively and provide strategic counsel at all levels of the company.

- Be business-oriented with the courage to question the status quo and bring various stakeholders together to drive change.

- Has a creative eye and a keen interest in design and visualization to create attractive newsletters and other communication assets.

- Has exceptional writing and editing skills. Possesses a strong command of the English language with all its nuances and rhetoric and figures of speech.

- Has a rigorous emphasis on quality and great attention to detail.

- Can find refreshing ways of addressing existing ideas and possess a global, modern mindset.

- Be able to work on several projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

- Has experience working with communication and collaboration platforms such as Yammer, Unily, MS Teams, etc.

- A self-starter who spots opportunities and develops creative, effective approaches to complex challenges.

- Can plan and execute create events at scale for employees.

- Is adept at handling relationships with various teams across and outside the organization.

- Master storyteller with stellar presentation ability.

- A thoughtful and thorough communicator who understands context and content.

Basic academic and work qualifications

- Bachelor's degree, preferably in journalism, creative writing, English literature, or applied arts

- Minimum of 9+ years of communications experience in a relevant field

- Experience working with global communications teams.
