Job Profile: - Responsible for analysis and research of cotton and competing fibers. - Gather and analyze data on trade, macro-economy, and market-trend to create forecasts for business Perform fundamental analysis, conduct research on historical data, and use mathematical & statistical tools to guide the decision-making of the business. - Analytics of market construct on derivative exchanges. - Supply & Demand Analysis - Keep abreast of the latest trends in production, consumption, export and import trade flows, and trade policies. - Developing and refining processes for data collection and analysis. Collaborate with the global team for supply-side forecasting of cotton using production economics - Consolidation of reports including position reports for all regions. Work closely with the trading desk and origin teams to direct, collect and collate data. - Produce a weekly outlook report every week to circulate to the business. - Create a repository of medium and long-term forecast reports. Requirements - 6-8 years preferably knowing critical variables affecting market, trends, and basic relationships and analyzing the current and future likely impact. - High order of analytical & conceptual skills, effective usage of excel - Effective interpersonal & communication skills, be self-driven, and ready to interact with all levels of the organization - Strong ability to motivate, train and coach employees to encourage optimum performance and engagement
