About the role:

The Supply Manager is a part of our New Initiatives Team who would be focused on Launching Ola in the new city and would take care of operations till the time it’s settled. The Launch team travels around the new cities growing Ola from the ground, so we are looking out for the best and someone who can work in fast paced environment.

KRAs:

- Researching the new city and learning the transportation pain points, regulations and market opportunity for Olacabs.

- Setting up partnerships and managing relationships with drivers to get the supply side ready for Ola’s launch in the city.

- Finding, hiring and guiding a team to run the city operations till the business is settled and once the business is bit settled. Launch Team can move for another mission city.

- Competitive Understanding - Keeping a close watch on competitors the city.

- Creating Brand amongst Suppliers - Initiation of partnerships and managing relationships with Suppliers; effectively building a chain of our business partners.

Skills required (Technical, soft skills, specific tools, personality traits):

- Aptitude with strong analytical skills is essential. Have good reporting skills (MS Office)

- Should be able to think unconventionally, outside of the regular.

- Execution oriented – getting things done on ground. Has a go-getter attitude.

- Passionate and owns up proactively. Should be a good salesman!

- Managed a closely-knit community of influencers (eg. Channel Partners / Agents / Drivers / etc.)

Candidate background required (Education & Experience)

- 3+ years of operations management or experience (or related).

- Experience creating, executing, and tracking a launch plan from the supply side.

- Prior experience managing cross-functional teams.

- Successfully executed business development opportunities and negotiating partnerships.

- Have been a part of early startup environment would be an advantage.

- BE/ B. Tech or MBA from premier college
