With a great initial feedback from customers, one of the key objective of Ola Play is to scale up the Play experience to maximum number of commercial cars.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Oversees and manages overall hardware supply chain and logistics operations (end to end) for Ola Play to maximize efficiency and minimize cost of supply chain
- Closely work with the technical team to build a strong quality process for hardware qualification
- Collaborate with multiple-functional managers to plan and execute on the procurement & distribution plan.
- Manages and monitors vendor's qualification and performance to ensure they meet company's requirements. Work closely with vendors to build current and future capabilities for Ola Play
- Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.
- Select transportation routes to maximize economy by combining shipments or consolidating warehousing and distribution.
- Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, vendors, or freight forwarders. Monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements.
- Meet with suppliers to discuss performance metrics, to provide performance feedback, or to discuss production forecasts or changes.
- Accountability on scheduling, planning, vendor management, inventory (procurement, distribution & warehousing)
- Ensuring adequate MIS reports for performance tracking by the Business
- Ensuring 100% correct data management of supply chain for business review
Experience & Skills
- Around 8-10 years experience of overall experience in the Supply Chain & logistics domain
- Minimum 4 years of people manager experience
- Good understanding of Technology hardware industry processes and supply chain
- Knowledge on imports duties & customs
- Knowledge of local laws & regulations for taxation purposes
- Good Communication skills
- Good project management skills (Preferably PMP certified)
- Commercial and Negotiation Skills
- Self motivated & performance driven
- Very high level of execution skill.
