Ola integrates city transportation for customers and driver partners onto a mobile technology platform ensuring convenient, transparent and quick service fulfillment. Ola is committed to its mission of building mobility for a billion people. Using the Ola mobile app, users across 110 cities can book from over 6,00,000 vehicles across cabs, auto-rickshaws and taxis. Ola has also introduced a range of shared mobility services on its platform like Ola Shuttle and Ola Share for commute and ride-sharing respectively. The app is available on Windows, Android and iOS platforms.
Roles and Responsibilities
The job requires a gamut of roles and responsibilities -
- Identifying new marketing opportunities by analyzing data on location demographics, preferences and needs, business potential and competitor's strengths and weaknesses
- Lead the planning and implementation of a project to ensure results are delivered
- Come up with launch plan and onboard right internal and/or external teams for fastest time to market
- Coordinate frequently with stakeholders across different functions - Investors, Management etc.
- Advice on the new business Models, Build marketing strategies, customer Analystics
- Troubleshoot the business issues and data Interpretation and analytics
- Monitor report the progress of the projects
- Supplier Management: Ensure long term and profitable relationships with business partners and supply retention through effective reward and recognition programs.
- Building a pro-vendor brand: Retain Ola as the preferred choice amongst the driver partners by ensuring a win-win for every stakeholder. Identify newer and innovative ways to engage partners continuously.
- Building an A-Team: Responsible for hiring and managing a team that will consistently achieve / exceed growth targets.
- Forecasting: Manage and own metrics that objectively monitor the supply side of business. Balance inventory growth with demand to ensure optimization.
- Cross-functional approach: Directly coordinate with all support functions including marketing and analytics.
- Skills required (Technical, soft skills, specific tools, personality traits)
- Aptitude with strong analytical skills(tools - Excel) is essential. Have good reporting skills (MS Office)
- Execution oriented - getting things done on ground. Has a go-getter attitude.
- Obsession to quality.
- Passionate and owns up proactively. Should be a good salesman!
- Managed a closely-knit community of influencers (eg. Channel Partners / Agents / Drivers / unionsetc.)
- Has effectively managed a large team in the past and is objective approach towards goal-setting and monitoring.

Qualifications - MBA
- Engineering degree from premier engineering college will be an preferred
- Candidates with prior FMCG/Telecom sales experience in top Retail, FMCG or Telecom companies
