Lead - Indirect Procurement
Job description:
- We are looking for Lead Indirect Procurement to join the Central Procurement -Indirect team and lead for all Tech & IT Indirect purchases (Software, Hardware & Cloud).
- To ensure success, a person should possess experience in the IT & Tech: HW & software procurement, Stay ahead of industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies to create procurement strategies.
- Procure to Pay cycle, contract management, in-depth Procurement knowledge and stakeholder management. The Senior manager will however need to be; passionate, agile, committed to continuous development and a progressive career in procurement.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of procurement professionals and Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team and lead by example
- Develop and implement comprehensive IT&Tech procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Conduct supplier negotiations and gather price profiles
- Liaise with the stakeholder community - understand what they need from the Procurement team, Preparing cost-benefit analysis to assess the need and evaluate possible options.
- Monitor and reduce annual category spend by utilizing multiple levers of unit rate negotiation, value engineering and scope optimization.
- Track and communicate savings achieved from cost reduction initiatives.
- Develop partnership relationships with suppliers - meet, negotiate and review performance.
- Investigate and suggest new vendor partners, monitor, record and drive improved performance from suppliers.
- Suggest rationalization of supplier base with appropriate de-risking and value addition.
- Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements in IT procurement activities.
- Improve procurement processes and ensure adherence to procurement policies/governance.
- Staying up-to-date on the latest process and Technology advancements to automate and modernize systems. Conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
- Review contracts ensuring compliance around pricing, payment terms, volume commitments, rebates, etc.
- Support risk management assessment relating to supplier vulnerability, sourcing options, and material availability.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering ( IT/CS/Telecommunications) plus an MBA or equivalent degree in supply chain management
- 10+ years of Tech ( Cloud, Maps, Engineering, Design and Simulation Licenses) and IT procurement experience in a consumer centric industry.
- Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.
- Advanced Negotiation skills.
- Excellent relationship building, interpersonal and communication skills.
