Job Summary:

- Manager of manufacturing engineering of critical assembly process and systems

Key Result Areas (Accountability & Responsibility of the role):

- Design, planning, and continuous improvement of equipment, tools and process required for production

- Developing global specifications for various manufacturing process typically used in 2 wheeler assembly

- Responsible for managing subject matter experts in the development and optimization of process and specifications

- Identifying suppliers capable of providing equipment and/or tools to outfit a production line

- Statement of Requirements (SORs), Equipment RFQs and project management

- Manufacturing process definition

- Creation, maintenance and updating of PFMEA

- Responsible for Sequence of operations

- Consideration for human factors, ergonomics

- Process design for efficient material flow

- Providing technical direction to and oversight of outside vendor sources

- DFM/DFA advising of design engineers

- Optimizing Engineering design guidelines for manufacturing

Key Skills Required:

- Established ability and technical knowledge in manufacturing assembly

- Experience in one or more methods of lean manufacturing; TPS, kaizen, JIT

- Experience with pressing or heat shrink operations

- Experience with tightening tools, torque and fastening methods

- Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem solving skills

- Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively

- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and assignments with a medium level of autonomy and high accountability for results

- Experience in the automotive industry

- Fluency in English, both written and spoken

- Software/Tools/System Exposure

- Comfortable working with MS office suite of tools

- CAD

- Knowledge of Collaborative tools like JIRA is preferred
