Job Summary :
- Implement Group EHS Standards and Guidelines for the project on Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Protection, Emergency Preparedness, Process Safety, GHS, Transport Safety, Trainings etc.
- As a head of environmental engineering, the candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks relating to reporting on the environmental impacts of construction work.
Key Result Areas (Accountability & Responsibility of the role) :
- Implement Group EHS Standards and Guidelines for the project on Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Protection, Emergency Preparedness, Process Safety, GHS, Transport Safety, Trainings etc.
- Evaluate the environmental impact of the project, hazard or commercial operation with respect to all the chemicals used in the plant and its disposal
- Build health and safety plans and recommendations on the containment, clean-up process, remediation, recycling and waste disposal, in order to fix environmental issues
- Develop site-specific health and safety protocols such as spill contingency plans or methods for loading and transporting raw materials
- Implement, manage and supervise the day-to-day tasks of construction and remediation schemes
- Keeping abreast of legislative changes in environmental law
- Assessing how a site complies with environmental regulations
- Designing, developing, testing and implementing technical solutions which will help organisations actively reduce their negative impact on the environment
- Manage Licenses, Permits, Consents and Authorization and maintaining Legal Registers for sites. Liaison with the PCBs, Factory Inspectorate and local Authorities for Consent and licenses renewal.
Requirement :
- Should have led EHS practise in a large Chemical manufacturing company
- Thorough understanding of local environment rules and regulations for obtaining and continuing license for plant operations
- The ability to work well under pressure
- Communication and team working skills
