OLA - Data Analyst

About Role :

- The opening is with the Assurance function of Ola that falls under Chief Financial Officers office. An ideal candidate has 3-5 years of hands-on experience handling large dataset and an analytical bent of mind to derive insights.

- Responsibilities of a Business Analyst for the Assurance Team includes

- Creation of daily, monthly, quarterly, half-annually and annual reports for the assurance function.

- Expert in mining databases across verticals of the business (Ola Mobility, Ola Financial Services, Ola Foods and Ola Electric Mobility)

- Build real time dashboards to monitor daily reports.

- Expert in writing hive (hue/presto) queries to gather important datapoints from complex data structure.

- Create and maintain central data knowledge repository

- Maintaining source of truth - One Ola operating model is ensured data integrity is maintained

- Mentoring new analysts with right data sources and querying logics

- Work with engineering and product teams to understand the business flow for all the verticals.

- Hypothesize use-cases to figure out leakages in the business.

- Implementations using scripting tools (e.g. R, python).

- Create algorithms to extract information from large data sets.

- Stakeholder management, Vendor management and Vendor payments for the assurance function

Experience & Skills :

- Strong background in statistical concepts and calculations with 3+ yrs experience with real data

Key competencies:

- Understanding of dashboarding tools (PowerBI and MicroStrategy) is a plus

- Experience in data visualization and presentation.

- Excellent critical thinking skills, combined with the ability to present your beliefs clearly and compellingly verbally and in written form.

- Large scale product experience would be a bonus.

- Nice to have experience working with big data relevant technologies

- Software/Tools System Exposure

- Advanced SQL

- Advanced Excel

- R or python (optional)

Educational Qualifications: B.E/B.tech
