The position offers advancement opportunities and a competitive salary.  This is an exciting new role for an enthusiastic and proactive corporate lawyer with the professional and personal skills necessary to build and manage an India-based Contract Review Team.  Responsibilities:  - Have functional responsibility for building and managing a new India-based contract review, negotiation, and oversight function to support Ocwen’s U.S. business  - Work closely with colleagues in the U.S. to train, assimilate and manage the India-based Contracts Review Team  - Establish processes and procedures and business metrics for the Contracts Review Team in consultation with U.S.-based colleagues  - Understand U.S. mortgage servicing and vendor contracts   - Demonstrate expertise in contract review and negotiation  - Incrementally build capacity and capability to expand the strategy and scope of the India-based Contracts Review Team  - The strategy should result in significant cost saving for the organization  The ideal candidate must have:  - Dealt with complex U.S. legal contracts with clients, partners, vendors and others. Knowledge of US mortgage laws is helpful but not required  - Ability to quickly learn US mortgage laws  - Substantial experience managing other lawyers and large teams  - Experience working with senior level executives from other countries, ideally U.S. - based executives  - Masters degree in Law and a minimum of 10 years of experience as a lawyer with an international company and/or a top tier law firm  - Strong writing and verbal communication  - Demonstrated analytical and strategic thinking  - Good interpersonal skills  - Willingness to travel within India and to the US  - Flexibility on work hours
