Principal System Analyst
Job Functions :
- Build strategic relationships with key leaders at a wide range of level up to and inclusive of C-level.
- Develop an operational strategy to achieve enterprise technology strategy definition and execution
- Developing business requirements and design cohesive technology strategies for aligned business units and the enterprise as a whole
- Drive solution selection and implementation for supported business units as part of the enterprise strategy
- Contribute to the design of proprietary software solutions
- Contribute to formation of technology architectural standards and governance
- Provide some project management for initiatives as needed
- Prepare weekly project status reports for management
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

- Exceptional ability to design business processes and software solutions

Minimum Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in a related area.
- 7 or more years experience as a systems analyst or relevant work experience.
- Investigation and diagnostic skills.
- Support tool knowledge.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; superior analytical and problem solving skills.
- Track record of building relationships and support networks within diverse stakeholder and vendor groups
- Building and leading cross functional teams
- Demonstrated ability to be flexible and work well in an environment where priorities fluctuate.
- Solid understanding of relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, etc), client-server and web-based application concepts.
- Experience leading the delivery of complex software solutions.
- Experience writing/understanding basic SQL.
- Strong analytical/problem solving skills; proven leadership skills.
- Exceptional communication, organizational and leadership skills.
- Proficient in Visio, Word and Excel.
- Proven self-starter with the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
- Experience in the financial or mortgage industry, ideally with reverse mortgages.
Preferred Qualifications :
- 10 or more years working with loan origination (LOS) software applications
- 10 or more years working in environments using home mortgage concepts
- 10 or more years using SQL to write simple queries
Physical/Mental Requirements :
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following :
- Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
- Collect, interpret, and/or analyze data and information
- Light lifting (less than 25 pounds) of files, documents or equipment as required
- Ability to operate a telephone, computer, and other office equipment for long periods of time (30+ hrs per week)
- Standing or sitting for long periods of time
Work Environment :
- Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment
- No or very limited physical effort required
- No or very limited exposure to physical risk
