We are currently hiring Manager Client Approvals & Reviews - Bangalore

Responsibilities will include:

The Manager will assist the Senior Manager in overseeing the counterparty credit risk function which includes establishing counterparty credit policy, client approvals, portfolio and client monitoring for both the Correspondent and Broker channels of our Lending Business.

- Assist with the management of team analysts who are responsible for completing the client approval, renewal and monitoring efforts

- Assist with developing and maintaining the counterparty credit policy

- Preparing and presenting reports to the Credit Committee

- Business Lending counterparty risk oversight

- Participate in line of business policy discussions and provide oversight

- Manage escalations, workouts or loss projections

- Serve as resource on Business Lending, including warehouse lending, correspondent, broker, litigation, and other business matters and coordinate quality issues with underwriting, operations, fraud, quality assurance and servicing

Key Result Areas:

- This role will make recommendations regarding the approval or denial of credit request packages in a knowledgeable, reasonable and timely manner for both new correspondent and broker relationships and for the renewal of existing business lending relationships.

- Ensure that approved counterparties meet homeward and GSE financial requirements

- Ensure approval from higher levels of authority as required by the Business Lending Credit Policy, when necessary.

- Assist with aligning counterparty credit standards with new business opportunities or market expansion

- Help to maintain and/or coordinate counterparty performance metrics, benchmarks and performance measurements

- Manage and mentor the team of counterparty credit analysts in multiple locations

- Assist with establishing and maintaining counterparty credit policies, procedures and workflow documents

- Participate in special projects, i.e. regulatory, and internal and external audit requests

- Partner with Sales, Operations, Legal, in order to ensure a holistic view of the client is understood by all parties while maintaining an appropriate risk reward balance.

- Participate in due diligence efforts as needed

Qualifications: (Requirements for the position)

- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting required.

- Minimum 5 years progressive experience working in a credit risk capacity.

- Previous experience in effectively managing staff and/or vendors as well as the ability to manage staff in multiple locations, including international.

- Knowledge of Correspondent and Broker risk management and operations

- Strong knowledge of mortgage lending industry and residential real estate.

- Knowledge of mortgage lending financial statement analysis and risk assessment

- Ability to manage rapidly changing priorities and opportunities

- Proven decisiveness, strong action and results orientation

- Solid planning, tactical implementation and time management skills

- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills, analytical talent and attention to detail

- Persuasive and effective verbal, written and public presentational skills

- Strong problem solving skills

- Fluent in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Access and Power point
