Summary :

The BI ETL Architect will be responsible for creation of data models, ETL applications design, development, maintenance, enhancements and end-to-end delivery of data warehousing projects. The role would require the individual to be responsible for all aspects of data management such as data sourcing, migration, quality, validation, reconciliation, design and implementation. The position demands a strong data modeling background since the focus is on developing efficient models for faster data mining and reporting.

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop and supports ETL architecture for data integration, data warehouse, and data Marts for the organization.

- Lead the data architecture analysis, design, and implementation, and ensures that the solutions and portfolio fulfills and supports the business requirements.

- Design the data model and implement this in databases.

- Design and develop enterprise data standards, best practices and governance processes.

- Creating supporting documentation, such as metadata and diagrams of entity relationships, business processes, and process flow.

- Collects the data requirements and translate them into technical specifications

- Present ideas, suggestions and deliverables to senior level executives.

Key Result Areas :

- Participate in strategic initiatives by taking leadership roles on development and execution of projects.

- Ensure that the organizational reporting is standardized in terms of accuracy, completeness and correctness.

- Meeting all the annual organization goals from a Business Unit perspective.

- Scale up to be the subject matter expert of different functional areas

Qualifications :

Years of Experience : At least 4 in Business Intelligence and Analytics roles

Education Level : Bachelors in Engineering, Math, Physics, Accounting, Finance or IT. MBA preferred.

- Bachelors Degree in Computer Information Systems or related field or equivalent job experience.

- Required Languages/Tools : Oracle RDBMS, SQL, PL/SQL

- Preferred Tools : Informatica Power Center 9.X

- Experience in Oracle 10g or higher.

- Experience with data modeling tools is must (ERWin preferred)

- Ability to write and understand complex SQL and PL/SQL

- Experience implementing dimensional models like star schema and snowflakes including slowly changing dimensions

- Ability to apply expertise with ETL concepts, database concepts, queries and SQL

- Work on complex issues where analysis of situations require in-depth data analysis experience

- Ability to understand business requirements and translate into technical specifications.

- Experience in database-related performance tuning.

- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
