Production Manager

Overall responsibility of maintaining safety/compliance, development of 300+ team, ownership of various printing/packaging machinery, and ensuring maximum production while meeting budget and productivity targets

Key Responsibilities:

- Responsible for delivery of annual and monthly revenue targets for the business while maintaining on target profitability

- Manage and engage a team of 300+ employees in planning, pre-press, printing, packaging, post-press functions

- Ensure health and continuity of production assets. Maximize utilization of assets and productivity of the team

- Develops and manages strategic plans for capacity, efficiency, quality and continuous improvement

- Supervises, coordinates, directs daily production activities in alignment with site KPIs

- Represents the Production department during all regulatory and safety audits as well as during client visits.

- Supports and offers advice on technical related issues. Troubleshoots problems and initiates investigations with support from maintenance teams

- Establishes and maintains productive working relationships with subordinates, upper management and other departments.

- Supports the developments and implementation of departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and procedures ensuring compliance with all regulatory and corporate Quality standards.

- Provides support in validation and qualification of product, equipment and utilities.

- Represents the Production department during all regulatory and safety audits as well as during client visits.

- Ensures products are manufactured in compliance with regulatory standards, as appropriate.

- Develops staff to ensure a well-motivated, versatile and fully trained department, including career path and succession plan development.

- Prepares monthly departmental reports, contribute to budget and capital expenditure preparations.

- Selects, develops and evaluates staff to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Works with and advises staff on administrative policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in production/business or other related area required; Masters degree preferred

- 10+ years of experience working in a factory setup

- 5+ years experience of leading large teams

Knowledge and Skills required for the role:

- Exceptional knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices

- Demonstrated decision making capabilities

- Proven ability to motivate, lead and develop staff as well as the technical ability to coordinate departmental business activities

- Strong leadership, team building and conflict resolution sills

- Demonstrated ability to balance/maintain conflicting goals, responsibilities, and priorities of the organization. Demonstrated success as agent of change

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Share point).
