Job Responsibilities :

- The key responsibility of this role is to manage the origination and in-life management of commercial business loans & deposits by handling the Customer Due Diligence (CDD) at the time of onboarding and in-life periodic reviews

- Completing and assessing company and individual credit searches, including their authentication through completing relevant CDD and anti-money laundering processes. This includes the ongoing screening of businesses and individuals.

- Primary of contact for the onshore Client onboarding, Business Development and Compliance team

- Managing the AML/CDD team in India and working closely with the Credit Risk, Client Onboarding, Compliance and Business Development teams to ensure compliant completion of loans

- Processing all applications through a workflow system effectively, within agreed SLAs and KPIs, and in line with company policies, procedures and lending criteria

- Ensure all processes and procedures are followed and only fully compliant applications are recommended for approval

- Minimise the risk to the business and the customer with a strong focus on process controls and fraud prevention and detection

- Effectively complete ad-hoc tasks and initiatives as directed across the business

Desired Skills

- Understanding of the AML/KYC Operations including the Lending & Deposit knowledge

- Good knowledge of 4th Money Laundering Directives (4MLD) and Criminal Finances Act 2017 in the UK

- Experience of Screening/Data mining using different search engines in prior roles

- Minimum 5 years of experience in the relevant field required

- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and team management skills

Academic Qualifications :

- Post graduates from a reputed institute with 5+ years- experience in AML Operations preferably in Banking industry
