Role & Responsibilties

The Zonal Head role is a strategic and tactical role with responsibility of handling entire North India Logistics Operations and leading a team of 10-20 members. The role would require the manager to be able to provide structure, direction and process for the operations along with constant monitoring and course correction. The zonal head should be able to build order in uncertainty and take decisive actions.

The role involves the following key responsibilities

Leading entire North India Operations for the forward logistics business

Leading a team of 10-20 members or more

Building processes and systems to build scalable and sound operations

Scaling up the operations and constantly improving reach and depth of distribution

Vendor relationship management for last mile delivery partners

Ensuring high adherence to process and defined systems

Monitoring and delivering excellent service levels for the business

Solving structural and tactical issues, troubleshooting and conflict resolution

Taking initiatives and innovating solutions to be implemented across the organisation

The key deliverable in these areas are:

Operational Efficiency and efficacy for the forward logistics business

Increasing the width and depth and constantly strengthening the distribution network

Driving scale and performance of the logistics network and developing

Hiring, developing and nurturing team members to take the organisation forward

Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualities:

Assertiveness and persistence with a strong will to getting work done

Eye for Detail in any scope of work and ability to identify efficiency areas

Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills

Patience, empathy and ability to understand the issue from someone else's perspective

Ability to derive meaning from vast amount of data

Team management skills

The candidate should possess the following qualifications:

MBA from Tier 1 B school with 2-3 Years experience in a managerial role

Graduation from Tier 1 Tech School with 4-5 years in a managerial role

Good data processing and presentation skills

Excellent communication skills - written and oral

Prior experience in a logistics setup / startup environment is a plus
