Upcountry Operations Manager

Organisation :

- Nuvo Ex is a leading eCommerce focused logistics company. The firm is backed by SAIF partners, Sequoia Capital and Snap deal and aims to become one of the largest and most profitable players in the Indian Logistics space. The organization envisions to help people in even the remotest of locations have access to a better quality of life, by bringing the world to their doorsteps, through a reliable, low cost, tech driven logistics platform.

Role :

- The Upcountry Operations manager role is a high intensity, high responsibility and hands on role. The role requires an individual to be highly involved in the day to day operations and be able to track and follow up on service levels.

- The role would require you to travel to upcountry locations on a frequent basis and multiple stakeholder management.

Travel : 30-40 %

The role involves the following key responsibilities :

- Town coordinator management

- Vendor Relationship Management

- Vendor appointment and replacement

- Tracking and managing on ground operations

- Regular tracking of MIS data and reporting

- Resolving on ground situations and conflicts

- Co Loader Management and ensuring smooth shipment flow

- Vendor and town coordinator ROI management

- COD management and check

- Returns management and check

- Successful implementation of systems and processes

The key deliverable in these areas are :

- Cost consciousness and minimizing cost per packet delivered

- Managing and minimizing process and system deviations

- Managing delivery SLAs and maximizing customer satisfaction

- Engaging channel partners and maximizing their business involvement

Requirements :

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualities :

- Assertive and persistent in approach with an attitude of getting work done

- Amicable and able to form and foster business relationships

- Ability to handle conflict professionally

- Ability to connect to on ground reality and act decisively and quickly

- Ability to identify, understand and process data on a regular basis

- Driven and motivated with an attitude to create an impact and go beyond what is asked

- Professional Conduct and respect for co-workers

The candidate should possess the following qualifications :

- MBA from Tier 2/3 B school or Graduation from Tier 1 B School

- Basic MS Office Skills and know how of Excel

- English, Hindi and Local Language proficiency

- Technology savvy

- Additional regional language proficiency is a plus.

- Work-ex in a managerial role is a plus.
