Job Purpose and Background/Context:

To be a part of the Analytics Solutions team. The Analytics Solutions team helps in identifying strategic decisions and business innovation for pioneering the next generation enterprise practices in the Analytical & Advisory space across domains. The Analytics Solutions supports classifying future growth initiatives, market opportunities and charting the roadmap with competitive offerings, new products and services besides identifying scales and means for optimization.

The position supports development and maintenance of quantitative models and provides analytical leadership to one or more functions Technology, Insurance, Telecommunication, Travel, Banking, Mortgage, Retail, Healthcare, and Government.

Key Responsibilities:

- Work in the Predictive Modelling team as a Data Scientist Lead

- Provide independent in-depth strategic modeling approach for specific domain

- Model Validation and Ensuring proper model implementation through analytics with proper documentation of analytical findings for record

- Participate in Analytics Solutions Training events to impart industry knowledge

- Support Competency development by providing materials supporting Analytics Solutions Initiatives in marketing and solutions

- Support Product R&D initiative by providing Advanced Statistical Insights & Algorithms

The selected candidate will be involved in the whole process of model development, including developing a research agenda to support internal and external client needs, model calibration, testing and documentation, assisting in the production-quality model implementation, and writing and presenting research papers.

Person Specification

Knowledge/Experience:

- Understanding of the issues and future challenges in more than one domain on Analytics (Technology, Insurance, Telecommunication, Travel, Banking, Mortgage, Retail, Healthcare, and Government) by working for a research or consulting company / Financial Services organization

- Experience of strategic analysis and research

Competencies/Skills:

Analytic Design and Delivery:

- Facilitate client problem definition and prioritization

- Investigate the problem space and systems / data around the related process

- Synthesize and innovate to develop analytic concepts

- Determine potential data sources and analytic techniques

- Develop interface strategy to best access data in near real time

- Lead iterative client sessions to refine the design and build buy-in across functions

- Specify the functionality with clarity and alacrity

- Shepherd the development of the analytic through our engineering / agile process

- Triage issues and provide thought leadership to drive impact despite compromises

- Launch the analytic with client stakeholders and ensure that changes to IPOM (interactions, procedures and operating mechanisms) drive actions

Engagement Leadership:

- Provide day to day leadership of highly complex, multi-stream engagements; personally, involved in ensuring high levels of quality, client satisfaction, and employee satisfaction

- Deliver the solution through a multi-dimensional group to include client representatives across verticals

- Ensure engagement profitability

- Clarity of thought to influence and drive a multi-generation plan that pragmatically solves the defined client problem.

- Ability to deeply understand the client data and the ability to use that data to succinctly create analytics to drive client insight and actions to solve the defined problem.

- Effectively develop and lead internal engagement team, leveraging strengths and appropriately delegating

Practice Management:

- Responsibility for key metrics to include, but not limited to, revenue, operating margin, on time project completion and upsell orders.

- Being recognized internally and externally as an expert in Analytics

- Manages and directs Knowledge Management activities on the engagement team.

- Leads and drives the evolution of the Analytics capability to include building consulting practitioner knowledge of the domain, and leading the creation of internal and external thought leadership assets.

People Leadership:

- Leading and managing multiple engagement teams providing organizational leadership, mentoring, career development and coaching.

- Requiring, modeling, promoting and completing timely performance feedback to team members.

- Developing and training junior staff.

- Leading the growth of organization members with the responsibility of performance management, career development and coaching.

Educational Qualifications:

- Should have a Masters degree from premier institutes

- Strong mathematical background with ability to understand algorithms and methods from a mathematical viewpoint and an intuitive viewpoint.
