At the same time we are building the OS (Operating System) that will supercharge their productivity and processes to ultimately make procurement autonomous.

The B2B manufacturing industry has a lack of digitization globally. NowPurchase envisions being the operating system for metal manufacturers, starting off with foundries. The end goal is to be able to automate procurement by creating & connecting the different systems both on the software and hardware end (ex: furnaces, spectrometers)

Role Description :

We are hiring for an individual professional to set up the new cluster in Kolhapur and lead it. You would be responsible for crafting & - executing a plan- to meet revenue, margin & TAT goals for the cluster. You will be driving P&L growth, revenue generation, profit gains and operational performance implementing key growth strategies and action plans. Successful execution of these strategies is required to achieve the financial targets.Duties will also include hitting building relationships and understanding the market trends.

This role is - full-time- based out of Kohlapur and would require forging and maintaining strong relationships with vendors/suppliers & clients and intimate understanding of the business.

- What are the expectations from this role?

You are expected to operate as an individual self-starter in the beginning & set up the business & operations in the assigned cluster from scratch. This role will involve 80-90% travel within the territory.

- Business Development Activities :

- You would be responsible for scanning the market and building a sales pipeline from scratch. You need to understand the market potential & competition . You will ensure implementing policies and guidelines for smooth functioning and satisfaction of all stakeholders: suppliers, customers & any other channel partners which will lead to improvement in sales productivity.

- Your role will also include account management, revenue collection, and increasing sales.

- Procurement and Operations Activities :

- You will be responsible to develop local vendors/key suppliers for goods not inventoried .

- You will negotiate contract terms with key suppliers to ensure value for money,quality standards and delivery terms with technical and operational input from stakeholders if appropriate.

- You will develop an overall vendor base which creates and sustains a competitive advantage utilizing global market exploitation, leveraging spends and leveraging technologies

-People Management-

- You will develop direct reports and manage a high performing team that delivers continuous improvement, added value and cost reductions

- You will set department objectives and monitor ongoing progress and performance

- You will ensure strong communication between teams under your leadership to facilitate exchange of information and in order to implement change and improvements.

- What would your day job involve?

- Vendor Development Exploring leads- both inbound & outbound, Meetings with vendors to pitch them about NowPurchase.

- Onboarding:- Onboard vendors as per favorable terms in terms of SLA, rates & payment terms.

- Vendor QC:- Ensuring vendors are providing the right prices, service and quality material on an ongoing basis to meet category goals

- New business Development and Sales :- To understand customer's business needs and objectives. Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations.

- Set up operations : You will be responsible for setting the operations processes in the cluster to smooth functioning of the business.-

- Local approvals & Set up :- You will be responsible for ensuring all kinds of approvals are taken care of.

- Guidance & Mentoring:- Guide team members so that systems are scalable & you can work on the next challenge without getting lost in transactional details.

- Qualifications :

- Full time BTech in any department ( Mechanical / Metallurgy/Material Science Engineering Preferable ) with at-least 5 years of relevant industrial experience or start-up experience.

- MBA is NOT mandatory

- Good to have :

- Local language ( Marathi ) proficiency-

- Masters degree .

- Prior experience in setting up a new cluster from scratch and building a new team to run the show in terms of business and processes .

- Experience in taking care of P&L responsibilities.

Compensation & Benefits :

- Cash Compensation:- As per industry standards & pedigree of candidate

- ESOPs:- 10% of NowPurchase is dedicated to current & future team members. Your package would entail some ESOPs.

Possible Growth path :

- Cluster Manager> Senior Manager- Cluster operations > General Manager-Cluster Operations> Cluster Head
