About Role:

Manage a HFS operations section. Responsible for managing Financial Control section, including conducting the performance management process. Establish goals/objectives for the team and monitors to ensure the timely and accurate completion of all related tasks.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

General

- Monitor team goals as measured against the Section KPIs, identify process failures and improve quality percentages.

- Improve on past performance through systems development and continuous training

- Follow up on the goals and priorities based on the direction set for the Section.

- Ensure consistent best practices and monitor the standards as agreed with the home country teams

- Ensure that adequate training/cross training is provided for all employees and identify training and development needs and establish performance standards for the section.

- Keep abreast of industry and regulatory developments.

- Prepare and present monthly performance matrix for the team to the management.

- Produce on time accurate detailed appropriate management information reporting and analysis

Core:

- Manage a Financial Control operations section

- Maintain effective communication channels at all levels

- Track all funds closes / audit related and performances queries and plans effectively to meet the benchmarks set.

- Coordinate with onshore on expectation setting, work allocation and planning for offshore team.

- Ensure strict compliance with SLA, risk and other process/company/regulatory requirements.

Business

- Keep appraised of industry and regulatory development

- Monitors staffing needs, including hiring and performance improvement decisions, handles salary administration, and ensures resources are available to accomplish priorities

- Run to fruition and own any projects for your teams as allocated

EXPERIENCE

Candidate to have at least 9+ years of experience in hedge fund accounting/Financial reporting/Fund administration (accounting of hedge funds, funds yearly/semi-annually audit, financial statements preparation, operating expense, fund industry knowledge, strong knowledge of financial instruments) about 6 years in Fund Accounting / Financial control/Financial Reporting.

At least 3 years in supervising teams officially

Qualification Preferred: ACAI or CFA (Level II fro CFA Institute, USA) or CPA or ACCA or MBA (Finance)
