Financial Research Analyst Northern Trust Asset Management, Bangalore (MBAs, IITs, NITs, BITS, Statistics &amp; Mathematics) Work Experience: 2-5 years Responsibilities: - Work closely with the Senior analysts in Chicago to research investment trends, author reports &amp; whitepapers for institutional investors such as Pension Funds, Endowment Funds and Foundations. - Research and support development of investment products / solutions for institutional clients - Research current trends in capital markets to analyze their impact on investment management and liability driven investing. - Develop automated solutions and collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, research and portfolio management teams to create / enhance existing investment products. - Manage &amp; maintain the research/analytics setup including but not limited to the historical data sets, research papers, collaterals and source codes. Required Skills: - MBA, Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Progress towards CFA preferred - 2-5 years of work experience and successful track record in research and analysis in finance / capital markets. - 2+ years experience in data analytics and / or with the following packages: Python, R or MATLAB, SQL. - Understanding of asset classes, investment strategies, macroeconomics, portfolio construction, analytical tools and associated programming languages. - Good written and oral communication skills. - The individual will be responsible for drafting white-papers, research papers and other client facing materials. Further, this role will entail interaction with Portfolio managers, senior management and client relationship managers.
