Senior Associate Offshore Debt Capital Markets
The candidate will be primarily responsible for the following :
- Assisting in managing existing and independently sourcing fresh offshore relationships
- Collaborating with various teams at Northern Arc - structuring, business, treasury, AIF etc. in curating product offerings that fit the requirements of offshore investors
- Understanding the regulatory landscape of investments by offshore investors into Indian debt capital markets
- Creating high-quality content in the form of pitchbooks, pipelines and regulatory writeups for investors
- Assisting in building of long-term investment partnerships with investors
- Managing end to end execution of debt capital raises from a diverse set of offshore investors
- Driving due diligence, legal negotiations, coordinating with custodian banks, correspondent banks, rating agencies, hedge providers, trustees etc. alongside support teams at Northern Arc
- Complete responsibility of post-transactional monitoring and support
- Conduct regular follow-up calls, sector updates and meetings with current and potential investors.
- Play the lead in negotiating terms, pricing, documentation
- Provide inputs for transaction structuring and new asset classes
- Develop a sound understanding of the sectors and entities that the firm represents, through field visits, data analysis and interactions with internal teams
- Develop a sound understanding of the products that Northern Arc Capital has developed, including regulations, tax, excel modelling and documentation
- Networking within the industry is key
- Represent Northern Arc Capital domestic and global conferences and seminars
SPECIFICATIONS :
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & COMPETENCIES :
- Experience : 2-4 years of experience with Big 4 (EY/KPMG/Deloitte/PWC/Grant Thornton) preferably in the financial due diligence/ consulting/ process improvement division
- Prior financial services experience is a must
- Qualification : CA/ CFA/ MBA; in addition holding an LLB/CS/M.Com degree is an added advantage
- Skills : Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, sales driven mindset is a must
- Good to have :
- Prior experience/ certifications/ background of Impact investing
- Prior engagement with offshore banks, institutional investors, multilaterals, and other global institutions
- Preliminary understanding of the debt markets and associated regulations specifically with respect to regulations applicable for ECBs, NCDs etc
- Specifications :
- Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment, multitask and work alongside multiple teams
- Openness to travel, domestic and international when needed
