This requires streamlined processes that can be scaled and adapted to various healthcare environments.  Breakdown of your work :  Iterate and transform our impact assessment tools and activities - 25% :   Currently, the bulk of data on our outcomes is collected through survey. You will :  - Take a deep dive into ensuring the validity and accuracy of these survey tools to capture data - creating, coordinating and executing tests on surveys for nurses, doctors, patients, and caregiver respondents, in healthcare environments as diverse as tertiary care centers to community health centers.   - Scour the public health and healthcare landscape for best survey practices and existing indicators that match our outcomes, and adapt these to our evaluation efforts.   - Re- imagine or expand our evaluation tools & activities. A move away from surveys, integration into existing data collection activities of existing implementing partners, collecting data through direct observation, focus groups, field experiments etc- all of these and more are on the table.   Build outcomes data- sets for the purposes of isolating program impact- 25% :  - Short of interventional trials, we seek to collect observational data in a manner and rigor that can isolate the effect of our program on outcomes of patients and caregivers. You will adopt a research mindset and:  - Decide sample sizes and groups required to evaluate the various outcomes with statistical significance. You will decide if and how to collect data at baseline and post- implementation.   - Recruit and train data collectors through individual hiring or partnership with data collection firms.   Manage existing monitoring and evaluation efforts at scale - 25% :  Monitoring the implementation of the program and scaling our current evaluation efforts is mission critical as we expand our endeavors into several disparate healthcare environments. You will...  - Oversee execution of the existing monitoring platform in the partner facilities that we implement in - with the help of team and ground level operations managers- through routine data quality debrief meetings.   - Take a design- centered approach to troubleshooting monitoring challenges in the healthcare environments- work with the technology, design and operations- members of the team to adapt monitoring processes to meet resources and needs of specific healthcare environment   - Facilitate with porting of data from various data- sources into central salesforce repository   Set organization standards for data analysis, reporting & discussion - 25% :  - We have begun generating internal and external facing impact reports, including on nurse trainings and training session feedback. You will collate best practices in the field and set additional reports and reporting culture that should be adopted as we expand the program.   - You will use innovative data analysis tools and visualizations to generate highly visual and readable data update reports.   Skills and Qualifications :  Basics :  - Masters or PhD completed. If you stopped at a Bachelors degree, must have significant experience with monitoring and evaluation sector with additional training or coursework.   - Training in quantitative field - statistics, economics, engineering, or basic sciences   - Experience in conducting impact evaluation or research in the healthcare sector   - Advanced proficiency with spreadsheet software including Google and Microsoft office   - Experience in using statistical software (R, SASS, STATA, etc.).   - Full time commitment required   - Ability to communicate data across different mediums tailored to specific stakeholders   - Based in Bangalore, India with project based travel expected   - Skilled in scientific method, able to create and test hypotheses of our impact and carry out small scale investigations   Above and beyond :  - Multiple years of experience in designing, piloting and executing health surveys in India   - Field experience working in healthcare settings or hospital environments   - Econometrics - background   - Comfortability with data visualization software (Tableau, etc)   - Multilingual, ability to speak Hindi and South Indian languages
