The Head of Content, India is responsible for leading a team that delivers an engaging, descriptive and innovative content on the website and the application. The individual will develop, mentor, and lead a broad, multi-functional team. The ideal candidate will enjoy leading within an entrepreneurial environment, being equally comfortable driving operations strategy. We are looking for this leader to combine an understanding of what drives better customer experience through, an understanding of how to engage to consumers, and a passion to create a great online experience - Manage the daily operations and long-term roadmap of content for the website - Determine ways to promote new and existing content on the website. - Be a strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to understand and make sense of a variety of different data types and input - Ability to articulate the eCommerce vision and set the foundation for achieving it - Identify gaps and develop business case for new solutions - Strong eCommerce operational experience with the ability to re-imagine new ways to improve upon the client promise; - Must be detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously - Ability to deliver on high quality content and meet the periodical targets. - Candidate must be comfortable in working on multiple projects and manage teams for best results. - Have the ability to be able to work with complex cross functional teams/ should be able to influence cross functional teams. - Strong work ethics and ability to lead a team for achieving goals. - Must aggressively defend a good strategy against random changes, fads and single- escalations - Capacity to continuously drive innovation and inspire the organization to achieve and exceed its objectives - Constantly question the status quo and bring in fresh insights into development of products & features. Qualifications: - 7+ years of relevant experience in a similar role. - Education - Candidates from tier 1 college only. - Experience of working in a high growth paced e-commerce environment. - Passionate about e-commerce and operations management. - Good experience in leading a big team to achieve the periodic targets. - Fair understanding of technology tools such as ERP, Seller Panels etc. - Strong ability to work with multiple functional groups - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to work independently and think outside of the box. - Strong work ethic with a hands-on approach. - Self-starter with a high level of initiative, strong sense of ownership and a disciplined approach to quality and its effect on the intended audience. - Candidates currently in NCR will be given preference
