Actuarial Opportunity with leading Big 4 Across Level for Non Life/General Insurance in Gurgaon/Bangalore location
We are recruiting a Non-Life Manager in the Actuarial Services team. The responsibilities of the Manager will include:
- Work on actuarial audits and advisory engagements having a decent experience in reserving and Solvency 2 (in case the requirement is for UK). Further we are looking at specific experience in a few of the following areas:
- Review data, methodologies, assumptions, results and benchmark against market
- Properly document the observations, findings on the results and prepare the summary report
- Validate consistency across regulatory submissions
- Analyse the historical claims data, identify potential issues/trends and document the findings
- Work on Statement of Actuarial Opinions (SAO) and actuarial audits of clients
- Review Nonlife pricing models and carry out bespoke modelling
- Assist with actuarial review of Solvency II Technical provisions and Solvency Capital Requirements for PRA submission
- Assist clients with understanding and implementation of new regulations e.g. Solvency II, IFRS 17, etc. Has demonstrated ability to understand and interpret Actuarial professional/technical standards.
- Support transaction and due diligence engagements
- Assist in actuarial system transformation
- Should have managed clients. Those who have managed UK / US clients are preferred.
Managerial responsibilities:
- Perform as an engagement manager for the complete scope of engagement of a member firm. As we operate in a team extension model a KGS engagement manager has the same opportunity as that of an onshore engagement manager.
- Communicate with engagement managers/Directors/partners with member firms and build strong professional relationship
- Responsible for managing the performance of their reportees
- Understand the organization targets and take ownership of its implementation
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders and discuss solutions to potential problem areas
- Assist in day-to-day management activities including MI reporting
- Contribute to setup of KGS Centre of Excellence
Job Requirements
Mandatory Skills
- Qualifications: Graduate/Post graduate with a strong background in mathematics and statistics
- 8-12 years of relevant Actuarial experience. Member of Institute of Actuaries (UK), SoA and CAS of US and/or Institute of Actuaries of India and must have passed significant actuarial exams from any of these institutes.
- Fully or nearly qualified actuary
