Senior Project Manager (Capital Markets)

Position Description

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for large, strategic projects in South East Asia as well as to provide guidance for Project Coordinators and Consultants working on Trading products projects by assisting them to deliver on schedule and within the budget agreed with the client. The role will therefore require coaching of the Project Mangers as well as working with the regional Professional Services Head to make sure projects are correctly resourced, potential risks are identified early and appropriate action is taken as well as forecasted revenue targets are met. Regular internal and external communication is a key function of this job.

- Estimating project effort with the help of one or more of the subject matter experts

- Ensuring proper project documentation exists and is maintained (Project Definition Reports, project plan, meeting minutes, change requests, commercial terms, etc)

- Oversight and coaching of Project team members in South East Asia, including: Participation in regular internal (i.e. with APJ services team and/or product development) and client status reports in order to Identify potential project issues and taking action to address them (i.e. weekly project team meetings, monthly steering committee meetings)

- Project resource planning for resources within the region and lining up resources from the global pool as required

- Financial reporting (internal and client), managing a ‘project PnL’

Position Requirements

Essential Experience Required;

- Must possess strong background in financial software implementation projects.

- Thorough understanding of Capital Markets.

- Candidate has to possess background that includes being responsible for executing and successfully completing at least 5 complex projects with project value of US$500k+ in each case.

- At least 2 years of team management experience (team with at least 5 college degree consultants).

- Understanding of cultural challenges of working within a global financial services provider.

Essential Skills Required;

- Strong Microsoft Office skills including MS-Excel, MS-Word, MS-Project.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required, as position demands a high level of interaction with Client’s/Company's consultants and senior management of Client/Company
