Typical Position Pre-requisites (Education & Skills):
University degree in Statistics, Mathematics or Operations Research
Experience in data analysis and trend analysis (either through degree or work experience)
Good knowledge of statistical applications and systems
Basic programming skills (SAS and Visual FoxPro) is a plus
Good English both written and oral
Basic programming skills like SAS and Visual FoxPro (familiarity to experience would be a plus)
Understanding of data production steps
Typical Responsibilities:
- Liaise with field management to ensure that actual useable sample per period if achieving Nielsen standards
- Ensure Quality Control for identifying and correcting raw and projected data are operating within Nielsen
guidelines
- Conduct regular coverage studies of client data to ensure accuracy
- Work with supervisor on analysis and design of customized experiments for clients
- Conduct data validation studies upon request and provide written feedback within pre agreed timeframe
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date knowledge on research techniques and applications
- Perform quality checks on all reports for alignment to request, accuracy and correctness
- Ensure standard operating procedures within area of responsibility are observed
- Recommend improvements in work processes within area of responsibility
- Provide universe updates at internals consistent with Nielsen guidelines and standards
- Validate universe updates based on independent data sources
