The People Analytics team at Nielsen has a clear mission - enable better talent-related decisions using data. As part of this effort, we tackle a variety of fascinating questions: with the onset of machine learning and robotics, what skills will we need to best serve our clients in 5 years time- What changes to our staffing pyramids do we need to make to maintain profitability- What career paths are required to fulfill the leadership pool we need tomorrow-
To help us answer these questions, Nielsen is seeking a People Analytics Senior Analyst with a specific focus on partnering with business leaders and our Human Resources Leadership Team to deliver and enhance Nielsen's capability and approach to People Analytics.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and analyze large data sets
- Developing strong partnerships across the business to deliver workforce plans
- Build reports & dashboards
- Be an internal consultant to varying business groups on people related matters
- Be an ambassador of change: whether to improve the health of our data; to enable the organization to make more data-driven people decisions
- Develop online resources (tools, templates, and training materials) to support People Analytics training at Nielsen
- Provide consultative and analytic support in the strategic and operational implementation of People Analytics and Workforce
Role Requirements (E=essential, P=preferred.)
E - 3 (3) or more years of experience in People Analytics or HR Analytics
E - 5+ years of relevant professional work experience, a majority of which in an HR or a strategy role
E - Three (3) years of experience in a reporting role; preferably to senior executves
E - Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
E - Experienced wit data manipulation and data analysis, including Tableau
E - Consistently demonstrates values of humble/hungry/smart
E - Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or any STEM field (quanitiatively oriented)
P - Ability to manage uncertainty, complexity and competing priorities
P - Practical experience with predictive modeling and knowledge of statistics using R or Python
