About the Position:

Nielsen micro-marketing & economics research team implements innovative Geospatial analytics and econometric on big data to develop localized sales and marketing solutions for our clients.

The SME - Geospatial & Location Analytics will be part of a team that is responsible for providing expertise in acquiring, processing, managing, analyzing, exploiting and transforming Geospatial and Location Data. The candidate will help develop applications and algorithms integrating multiple data sets.

Job Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test and deploy geo-spatial and location based applications and algorithms using multiple data sets.

- Develop, implement and manage spatial data standards, metadata, and processes;

- Development and Integration of an enterprise spatial architecture with other business systems;

- Delivering spatial infrastructure services and development of data services/tools to external clients as well as a focus on the internal business to drive efficiencies and innovation;

- Systems analysis (specifically the storage, bandwidth and processing power requirements of proposed solutions);

- Line management and mentoring of the early career professionals in the team;

- Providing input to business development and work winning activities;

- Requirements gathering and analysis across the wider business;

- Acting as a point of contact for queries from outside of the team within the wider business.

Qualifications & Experience

- A master in related field or a graduate degree

- 5-7 years of experience in the related field

- GIS programming experience (ArcGIS Runtime or ArcGIS Engine, QGIS, GDAL).

- Feature data extraction from imagery.

- Transportation or Network routing experience.

- Experience with OGC Compliance and WMS services.

- Skills in application development, specifically R, Python, SQL, and Javascript, for desktop, web and mobile environments;
