Job Purpose:

Implements Data Science client engagement approach and enables delivery on client commitments ensuring all client requirements are met.

Job Responsibilities (List the major responsibilities/outcomes expected of this role)

- Partners with the commercial, product leadership and product enhancement teams to drive revenue by launching new solutions/products into the market.

- Ensures continued Relevance of Retail Store Audit by constantly improving existing offering / reinventing the product / by addressing client concerns on perceptions of product quality.

- Delivers on productivity targets by facilitating/deploying Technology or through any other design level enhancements.

- Act as Data Science contact and liaison for all Data Science related methodology and execution to senior country/sub-regional leadership. Builds a collaborative engagement across stakeholders within Data Science and also externally across various other functions like Commercial teams, Data Acquisition, Input Operations & Processing teams

- Ensures Data Science services are delivered to the highest quality standards

- Provides expert technical consultation with internal/external clients and solves complex Data Science-related issues

- Conducts training programs and boot camps for the Commercial Team on Retail store audit methodology, sample design, process, challenges the team can face, and ways to address them proactively

- Drives the rollout of new or enhanced services providing an integrated statistical vision

- Guides the correct use of reported data through client engagement and content for client training

- Provides service specifications to the Methods teams and collaborate with Methods on methodologies to ensure these meet client requirements

- Reviews on a regular basis the statistical quality of our services

- Reviews with Operations, the quality of data collection and sample requirements as well as opportunities for quality improvement

- Participates in Request For Proposals

- Represents the company with academic and industry contacts and councils

- Identifies and develops top talent and leads teams

Role Requirements (list the critical experience, knowledge, qualifications, skills, and competencies needed to perform this role - over and above standard Nielsen leadership and personal effectiveness competencies). Mark each with essential, preferred.

E- Bachelors degree in Statistics, Social Science, Operation Research, or other hard sciences (e.g. Engineering, Computer Science, Biology, Physics etc.)

P- Masters degree in an above-mentioned field

E- 10+ years experience

E- Broad industry knowledge

E- Outstanding analytical expertise

E- Excellent leadership and people management skills

E- Excellent presentation skills for internal and external clients

E- Embodies the Nielsen Leadership values (e.g. diversity, inclusiveness, integrity, etc.)

E- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

E- Strong statistical and logic skills

E- Exceptional aptitude for data analysis

E- Accuracy and attention to detail
