NewPage Solutions - Senior Architect - Digital Transformation

About Role:

The Digital Transformation Sr. Architect role will be accountable for providing deep technology domain expertise in all aspects of Digital Technologies. The Sr. Architect will support the Company's wider strategic objectives which include Cloud Computing, Mobile Computing, DevOps, Digital Transformation, Test and Test Automation, Design Systems, and Open Source Thought Leadership.

The Sr. Architect should have a very high level of experience in at least two of the following areas or technology stacks at an Architect or Lead level: Java, Python, Angular, Mobile, JavaScript, or Cloud Computing.

This is a dynamic role, extremely fast-paced and very entrepreneurial in a creative environment. The position requires exceptional analytical skills, extensive experience managing engineers and other delivery roles, and communication with internal and external stakeholders. This person should also be a positive, motivated, and inspirational leader with rock-solid customer engagement skills. A successful candidate has precise attention to detail and can quickly adapt to changing priorities. The ability to think critically is a must.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Work with internal and client teams to develop solid Solution Architecture based on the given requirements.

- Conduct proof of concepts to ensure a proposed solution is viable.

- Communicate with client and internal team technology strategy, roadmaps and other technical artifacts

- Excellent leadership skills to lead the team and ensure smooth and successful delivery of projects

- Creatively work through challenges with clients and team members

Team Management:

- Full team member lifecycle activities

- Manage resource utilization, billability, and allocation

- Coach, motivate and lead engineers to their optimum performance levels

- Collaborate with peer management team members to enable cross-functional and strategic success within the company

- Assist with the development and growth of organizational design of the technical delivery team

Client Responsibilities:

- Help develop, maintain and evolve consultative sales engagements

- Technical assessments and code reviews of existing client code

- Due diligence framework

Technical Responsibilities:

- Keep abreast of up and coming technology trends and advise managing partners on a regular basis

- At least two of the following areas or technology stacks at an Architect or Lead level: Java, Python, Angular, Mobile, Javascript, or Cloud Computing

- Substantial knowledge of Front-end, Back-end, Full-stack, and QA technologies

- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting experience

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Bachelor/Master's Degree

- 10+ Software Development Lifecycle

- 5+ years of Software Architecture

- 5+ years managing tea
