New Product Development - Polymer

Responsible for the new product development in terms of structure (polymer) selection, design optimisation to use EP capability effectively and efficiently.

1. Responsible for the entire cycle of product development from the design technicality till the commercialization of the first order. Ensure minimum design turn-around time

2. Advising customer on the design technicalities to ensure that in following process it transforms into the best output. Interacting with customer about our limitation and capability in tube making.

3. To map Product and Process cycle of development till the completion of commercial acceptance.

4. To co- ordinate with production activities to ensure approvals are handled smoothly and commercialization of the design is ensured

5. Review & take corrective preventive action on the customer complaints related to design development and design processability.

6. Co-ordination with supply chain / planning to ensures plan optimisation for best productivity and customer trials.

7. Implementation of quality systems and procedures in order to ensure HMP and GMP compliance

8. To set and achieve the department objectives in line with the unit goals

- Degree in printing preferably an engineering graduate.

- Additional course on graphics / fine arts

- Exposure in design software like Illustrator, Photoshop, Corel Draw, freehand .

- Experience in plastic packaging industry in techno-commercial function like customer service at least 5 years experience in a process house handling design processing or a similar process industry, with minimum 2 years in the capacity of heading the department.

- Good knowledge in design processing.

- Working knowledge of offset, Flexo and letter press printing technologies

- Knowledge and work experience in Graphics pre-press division in major packaging concern.

- SAP experience,CAD/CAM
