REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:

The Head of Sales will report to the CEO. This position will manage total number of 5-10 Sales team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As Head of Sales you will be responsible for the development, delivery and implementation of the sales strategy and business plan of the team.

Job Description:

- Determines annual unit and gross-profit plans by implementing marketing strategies; analysing trends and results.

- Establishes sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories; projecting expected sales volume and defining quarterly and annual sales plan.

- Maintains sales volume, technology mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.

- Establishes and adjusts selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand.

- Work with Delivery organization to scope solutions.

- Present solutions and win business.

- Participate in contract discussions / negotiations.

- Manage multiple client relationships.

- Identify and scope growth opportunities within the relationship.

- Executive reporting on Sales Operations - based on Sales cycle stage, pipeline, funnel, win-loss and other parameters.

- Maintains sales staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.

- Maintains sales staff job results by counselling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.

- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

- Advising and consulting with senior management and business unit leaders on the appropriate use of technology to drive business success.

KRA:

- Meet financial targets

- Meet Business plans (Quarterly and Annual)

- Ensure year on year growth as per the plan

- Ensure constant account mining and increase in share of customer wallet

- Ensure high customer satisfaction levels

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

Skills & Experience:

- The successful candidate should have a minimum of 15 years of management or comparable leadership experience in a software sales with a focus in strategic planning, development and global delivery.

- Understanding of technology directions and trends.

- Excellent thought leader and visionary of future IT environment.

- Leadership qualities to guide organization to achieve objectives.

- This person must embrace the challenge of understanding and analyzing a complex market environment, and display the ability, willingness, and courage to tackle difficult and multiple assignments with a passion for delivering results.

- The successful candidate will be an integral part of the succession plan for the organization, and therefore must be committed and confident in his/her ability to become a trusted, respected member of a strong team that fosters esprit de corps within its corporate environment.

- This individual will successfully motivate his/her team in a non-autocratic manner.

EDUCATION :

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, and a Master’s degree in Engineering or Management from reputable institutions are required.
