.NET/Java Architect - Trading Domain

Primary Skill .NET, Java/J2ee, SOA, OOAD, Struts/Spring/Hibernate technologies, MQ/JMS/FIX

Domain Knowledge::- Brokerage/Fixed Income/Trading platforms

12+ years of application or technical architecture design and planning experience on .NET/Java platforms.

Minimum qualifications:

- Demonstrated strong leadership, communication and relationship skills. This includes experience presenting, collaborating and building trusted relationships with executive management, senior management and technical peers to influence direction.

- Demonstrated practical application of a wide set of technical principles, practices, and procedures to design, build and implement complex application systems.

- Demonstrated ability to identify key trends in the industry and with internal business processes

- 7+ years of development experience with OO technologies such as .NET or Java

- Knowledge and experience with Services Oriented Architecture design and with messaging and high availability technologies, e.g., MQ, JMS, FIX, etc.

- Experience with third party and counter party integration, e.g., vendor platforms, market makers and exchanges

- Understanding and experience with full software development life cycles (waterfall and Agile/SCRUM methodologies)

- Understanding and experience with relational databases and other components for full solution development such as infrastructure and middleware components.

- Experience with PowerPoint, Visio and other system design and communications products

- Demonstrated Analyst experience. This includes the ability to gather and create both functional and technical requirements and build specifications and other documentation.

- Knowledge of architecture standards and methodologies, such as: (Gartner, TOGAF, and/or Zachman)

- Willingness to travel to the US for technical discussions as and when needed

Preferred qualifications:

- B.E. degree in computer science or related area of focus.

- Knowledge of financial industry core business products and services with experience in Brokerage Technology lines of business at Wells Fargo or elsewhere. Working knowledge with one or more of the following areas:

- Investment Planning products and services

- Investment Management & Fiduciary products and services

- Trading Order Management systems covering areas of Equity, Fixed Income, Options, Alternatives, etc.

- Securities and Economic Research products and systems

- High Net Worth Credit Solutions & Collateral Based Lending products and systems

- Market and Credit Risk products and systems
