Position Summary:

- The SAP BASIS consultant will be responsible for the support and administration of all SAP activities Design, implement and deploy- SAP- solutions to achieve defined business goals.

- This includes planning, coordination, and implementation of all changes in SAP, including performance and tuning analysis, capacity planning, migrations systems support and planning, application support, software upgrades.

- Basis Consultant should have skills in- SAP- application process design and configuration;- SAP- application design, development, integration, testing and deployment; and- SAP- application technical architecture.

Mandatory Key Skills:

- Must have worked on SAP HANA

- Managed at least 2-3 implementation projects

- Knowledge of various DB, OS and on any Cloud environment

- Knowledge on Oracle, RHEL

Work Location: Preferred location Pune/Gurgaon/Hyderabad

Mode of work: Remote or Hybrid mode or Permanent Remote work

Experience: 6+ years (relevant in SAP Basis)

Responsibilities:

- Manage Large SAP implementations across various versions/OS/DB's

- Manage and Execute Large SAP Implementation Projects

- SAP HANA Administration

- Manage migrations of SAP Systems between OS/DB and from On premise to cloud

- Ability to work in shifts and manage entire shifts without external help

- Knowledge of and preferably Certification in AWS

- Adapts existing methods and procedures to create possible alternative solutions to moderately complex problems

- Understands the strategic direction set by senior management as it relates to team goals

- Should have worked on multiple Migrations, Upgrades

- Uses considerable judgment to determine solution and seeks guidance on complex problems

- Primary upward interaction is with direct supervisor and open communication with peers and juniors

- Determines methods and procedures on new assignments with guidance.

- Manages small teams and/or work efforts (if in an individual contributor role) at a client or within Velocity

- Participate in Complex tasks/ Projects and provide recommendations

- Experience in application management engagement and ability to work simultaneously on multiple clients

- Good at documentation and review of work

- Able to take an issue, then plan and deliver a solution using your own initiative, with little guidance.

- Knowledge of various DB, OS and ability to have worked on Cloud environment (Public/ Private and Hybrid) Must have knowledge on Oracle, RHEL

- Ability to set up fool proof Monitoring system

- Should have worked on DC Migration projects and upgrade projects

- Should be able to study EWA and provide recommendations as relevant to client

- Candidate must ensure that compliance with data protection legislation under the DPA, EU GDPR, any other- applicable data protection legislation

Qualifications:


- Candidate should have at least 5 years of relevant experience in SAP Basis

- Candidate should have college degree in a related field or equivalent experience

- AWS Skills and certification would be a definite plus

- Knowledge of ITIL framework

Preferred Skills & Experience:

- Should have extensive and intensive SAP Basis Administration Skills

- SAP Hana experience highly desirable

- SAP Migration experience highly desirable

- SAP GRC / User Admin experience highly desirable

- At least proficient in one Database and one OS with regards to managing SAP system

- Should be able to work in shifts and manage shifts without too much external help or guidance

- Should be able to manage and execute large SAP Migration projects including DMO or migration from On-premise to AWS Cloud

- To be part of the Basis support team and contribute to solution management of multiple Complex Architecture

- Ability to recommend performance tuning Landscape optimization recommendations

- Ability to build re-usable plans for Annual Maintenance Calendar

- Identify integration issues and develop solutions to these issues

- Ability to identify problems and perform analysis to fix Problems

- Establish good relationships with internal and external teams

- Ability to work with cross teams and Client teams to ensure seamless delivery

- Can conceptualize and communicate Business relevant solutions

- Bright, ability to rapidly pick-up new technologies, propositions and business areas

- Outcome oriented - maximizing balance of effort vs benefit to achieve objectives

- Demonstrates excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing

- Ability to work under own initiative and under tight time pressures - planning, prioritizing and controlling own workload

- Precise approach to project management and procedures

- Understands delivery within a fixed price model and able to operate effectively within those constraints

- Can take ownership of sub-plans for specific Client requirements and can plan own time to ensure project milestones are met
