Purpose of the Job: To support / handle activities pertaining to finance and accounts activities of NLGIC being handled by

NSSPL team

Reporting to: Country Manager

Type of Employment: Permanent Job Location: NSSPL, Chennai

Section A: Job Description

Supervision of 6 team members engaged in captive back office (NSSPL) who are engaged in the following functions

- Reconciliation of operations system against finance system

- Reconciliation of re-insurance accounts against book balance (Finance system balance)

- Reconciliation of third party (Payable and Receivable)

- Bank reconciliation (bank statement against books)

- Making balance sheet & P & L schedule

- Arriving at outstanding by matching closed transaction

- Special Projects as required (Eg: Automation Projects etc.)

- Ensuring quality control of the above-mentioned activities

Academic / Professional qualifications: CA (chartered accountant)-Qualified

Experience Between 7-10 Years

Knowledge / Skills Required:

- Proven working experience in accounting and book keeping

- Solid understanding of all applicable accounting principles, Statutory and Secretarial Compliances

- Experience in submission of Budgets

- Analysing various Investment proposals

- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records

- Liasoning with Auditors and consultants for audits and periodical return filings

- Periodical reports to HO and Branches

- Reviewing and signing off the work done by the team

- Hands-on experience in spreadsheets and accounting software (Tally and Oracle)

- Customer service orientation and negotiation skills.

- Compliances under Companies Act like Periodical return filings with ROC, Meetings of Board and Shareholders Meetings

- Related Party Transactions

- Compliances as per RBI Act and FEMA Act

- Experience in Income tax return filing, Advance tax computations, EPF, ESI, Gratuity, TDS, GST

- Hands on experience in Statutory Audit, Tax Audit, Transfer Pricing Audit, GST Audit and Internal Audit

- Monthly book closure, Service fee invoicing, Payroll related experience
