National Transport Leader - BPO

JOB DESCRIPTION

ROLE : National Transport Leader (NTL), Pan India

DESIGNATION : VP

LOCATION : Gurgaon (will be required to travel)

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE : 17+ yrs

QUALIFICATION : Post Graduate

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Have strategic experience, and ability to see the macro picture.

- Hard Core planning & management of large scale Transport Operations across India.

- Standardize operations & reporting processes across India.

- Oversee Statutory compliances, governance, FFBLD & Risk Analysis, etc.

- Create initiatives, new projects & minimize cost of operations.

- Be a strong People Manager – provide guidance and strong leadership.

- Strong handle on costs and ability to make the function efficient and effective.

- Be able to liaise with Government, NASSCOM - bring about changes at policy level.

- Provide guidance to CoE & Finance/MIS teams on dashboards, reporting, compliances, controls and audits. Have working knowledge of MS Excel.

- Develop a transport communication strategy and develop an image of efficiency.

- Relationship Management across businesses, with vendors or senior stake holders

- Team Management – pan India team of GMs, DGMs and lower bands.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

- Experience in project implementation

- High Analytical Ability –Budgeting, costing, reviews to management & MIS.

- Creating Business Continuity Planning strategy. Ability to handle sudden & multiple BCP situations.

- Strategically negotiate/deal with Transport Suppliers & Procurement.

- Peripheral knowledge of Labor laws

- Ability to think ahead and create contingency plans.

- Provide strong leadership & lucid directions in crisis situations.

- Adaptability to corporate world, flat decision hierarchy & working with juniors.

- Create clarity in a ‘fuzzy information’ environment, with divergent interest groups, work independently basis broad directions & take decisions in org’ interest.

- Must be very articulate in written & verbal communication

- Must have irreproachable character, high integrity & extreme honesty.

- Have excellent inter-personal communication & presentation skills

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

- Operations experience

- Strong on people & crisis management)

- Managed Transport in BPO
