National Supply Chain Manager - FMCG - SP Jain/NITIE/SJSOM

Looking for Supply Chain professionals with Post-Graduation in Management from reputed institutes like SP Jain, NITIE (IIM - Mumbai), SJSOM (IIT - Bombay) etc.

Experience (in years) - 12+ years of experience in supply chain management within the FMCG industry.

Job purpose - Optimize supply chain operations by leading freight management and cost efficiency initiatives. Responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve supply chain performance, reduce costs, and enhance overall efficiency.

Key Job Responsibilities - Freight Management:

- Oversee all aspects of inbound and outbound transportation operations.

- Collaborate with carriers, logistics providers, and freight forwarders to negotiate contracts and service agreements.

- Develop and implement transportation strategies that reduce lead times and enhance on-time delivery performance.

- Continuously monitor and optimize transportation routes to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.

- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.

Cost Efficiency Programs:

- Identify cost reduction opportunities within the supply chain and develop cost-saving initiatives.

- Analyze data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and measure cost efficiency improvements.

- Implement lean principles and best practices to streamline processes and reduce operational costs.

- Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive cost optimization initiatives.

Supply Chain Strategy:

- Contribute to the development of the overall supply chain strategy.

- Collaborate with the senior leadership team to align supply chain goals with the company's strategic objectives.

- Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.

Team Leadership:

- Lead and mentor Freight and Cost Efficiency teams of supply chain
