We are looking for an experienced National Service manager to contribute to our client's service objectives in India and SAARC region.   Our client is a European MNC and a global leader in outdoor power products with growing operations in India, and are well-known for their business accomplishments and employee orientation. Your main responsibilities include building the service function at a country level, supervising the service team, building long-term relationships with channel partners and core customers and to ensure the region's goals are achieved through effective service operations.   As a senior manager, you should use your creativity and thorough knowledge of service processes to provide innovative ideas for business growth, working in tandem with the top management. Communication and team management skills are essential for this position. The role offers excellent scope to grow the India and neighbouring markets for our client's business from its current start-up phase. This position reports to the head of India and SAARC region and will be based out of Chennai.   Primary Responsibilities :   - Establish and implement a local service/after-sales strategy for India and SAARC region  - Create regional system for effective processing and tracking of orders, maintenance of customer database and discharge of service function  - Engage with channel partners to establish strong business relationships and empower them in service aspects  - Lead the regional service team; manage and monitor the team's performance; review and provide developmental support   - Design and manage the service centre operations for the region   - Establish and implement a local price strategy for spares parts and after sales / warranty service prices   - Create and manage a program for technical knowledge sharing with channel partners and end users   - Prepare service forecasts; review and realign  - Liaise with Sales, Marketing and Product Development departments to ensure brand consistency  - Stay up-to-date with new product launches and ensure service team members are on board  - Foster a proactive and professional working culture within the business region and their partners and customer  Candidate Requirements :   - Proven work experience as a national level manager in an upcoming organization, preferably a multinational  - Experience in managing and motivating a high-performance service tea m  - Experience in working effectively with channel partners across India   - An ability to build, analyze and leverage service performance metrics  - Strong communication and team management skills with persuasive ability. Good language skills especially in Hindi and 1-2 southern languages  - Has analytical skills with a problem-solving attitude; service orientation  - Availability to travel as needed  - A technical background with around 15-20 years of service experience in a multinational work environment
