The International Markets business unit is a significant part of Twinings and at the forefront of its growth agenda. It comprises a portfolio of "third-party" managed businesses in over a 100 ship-to locations and experienced exciting growth of 8% last year.
Description
Reporting to the Head of Business Development (based UK), you are responsible for :
- Maximising the sales for the organisation by working in close collaboration with Marketing, Finance and Distributor.
- Understanding the value chain and looking for other new opportunities across different channels
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key onward customers ( e.g. Modern Trade, Sub-Distributors, Large outlets, HoReCa, Institutions)
- Analysing the data and trends from the distributor side to build robust & implementable commercial plan
- Building Budgets by SKU by Channel ( Primary, Secondary, Trade) in a timely manner, collaborating as appropriate to ensure that the plans are in place to achieve the budgets, and to report progress
- Leading and managing the team on the distributor side to derive the sales
- Manage the day-to-day relationship with the distributor - at various levels ( Owner, Channel Heads & Teams, Supply Chain, Finance) to ensure that business objectives are achieved
- Plan, implement and control all sales & marketing activation plan
Profile
- The ideal candidate should come with 8+ years of experience in the sales function in the FMCG industry. He/ She should be a MBA from premier B school and should have worked in different channels (General Trade, Modern trade, Horeca, E commerce).
- He/she should also hold experience in designing and implementing the GTM strategies for the organisation. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter with high drive of ownership and accountability and will enjoy collaborating with others to deliver shared goals.
- He/she should have excellent communication and negotiation skills who can also manage multiple stakeholder both nationally and internationally. As ever in a small team, and acting with a "start-up" mentality, you have to be prepared to roll your sleeves up and do all the jobs that need doing with humility and vigour - it's all about the team getting there together.
