National Sales Manager

We aim to enable millions of Indian households to meet their credit, saving and investment needs by better monetising their assets. We hope to free the financially underserved from debt cycles by empowering them to build a more predictable and secure future

Job Description:

- Own & drive sales targets as per AoP.

- Continuously optimize incentives for employees & partners/affiliates to lower costs.

- Ensure optimal headcount to meet targets.

- Stay on top of sales numbers, always.

- Ensure heterogeneity & predictability of demand pipeline by diversifying sales channels.

- Keep close watch on competitive landscape & offerings.

- Keep sales teams motivated through required performance structures.

- Establish offline distribution partnerships to source higher margin customers.

- Prepare daily, weekly, monthly sales projections in conjunction with field sales & inside sales.

- Prepare a detailed plan around what inputs (people, product, process, partnership, marketing) will deliver the sales targets.

- Conduct sales rigour calls 2-3 times everyday with all cities to monitor pipeline conversion.

- Work with credit, scheduling, inside sales to get the pipeline moving.

- Double check & question projections given by city teams & plan to any potential derailment of the pipeline.

- Track productivity of each field force member. They should either be on company assigned cases or out hunting on their own. No one should be idle on company time.

- Push city teams to build a habit & culture of getting out in the field & do open market sourcing/cold selling.

- Keep a pipeline of high quality sales people in cities; 3 months up or out. We want a pure meritocracy, not assured fixed income company.

- Train people on how to negotiate with customers, how to pitch, structure a sales process, handle objections & follow-up.

- Create a culture of aggressive follow-up on not converted leads.

- Create capability (skillset & incentive) to cross-sell.

- Travel to cities & meet city teams & customers 1-2 times a month.

- Be aware about industry trends, competitive activities & any new disruptive trends around distribution & pricing.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- 8 - 12 years of total experience in consumer lending or field sales led organisations.

- Should have spent 5-6 years as an individual contributor i.e. handled direct sales.

- Should have led field sales teams selling direct to consumer loan/credit products.

- Aggressive. Number driven. Hands on. Ownership mindset. 0 entitlement.

- Responsible for the overall sales & marketing activities.

- To prepare daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets, and forecasts, plan & execute.

- Identify new potential customers and new market opportunities.
