Summary:

Urgently looking for an individual who is strategic, visionary and has a proven track record of managing and leading 300+ outbound sales team.

Experience : 15-20 years in Sales

I. Purpose of the role:

To grow the company's footprint by playing a leading role in planning of sales strategy and targets, regular reviews, scheme design, policy formulation and ensuring smooth functioning of the sales function.

II. Key Responsibilities

1. Strategy and planning

- Develop the 2-3 year product/service-level strategy for the overall sales-function aimed at achieving sustained competitive advantage and deliver the requisite revenue, profit margins and customer experience

- Translate the sales strategy into 1-yr and 2-yr product/service-level integrated operating plans - derive and achieve product/service-level priorities and actions from the same

- Work and plan closely with multiple stakeholders [product/technology] to drive flawless execution of product/service strategy and structure.

2. Driving results

- Institutionalize processes and policies to improve core business metrics [productivity, sales orders, active clients, client acquisitions, renewals etc.]

- Drive the product/service sales pipeline process to accurately forecast, qualify, realize and grow the sales pipeline while balancing locations and customer focus and increasing conversion-rate in the medium-to-long term

- Drive, engage and support own team in retail and enterprise sales achievement as well as support in customer relationship management where the service has been deployed

- Collaborate with the team to develop, enhance the active partner eco-system [if significantly different based on product/service] and support its deployment in various locations

- Work together with the team and other departments within the organisation to identify any process improvements and improve standards and efficiency

- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop the product's/service's marketing plan/actions to enhance market presence and lead its deployment.

3. Opportunity Driven

- Identify and evaluate target industry segments, high-priority location/customer-clusters [Super enterprise accounts/enterprise/retail accounts] by generating regular insights about the location specific environment and customer shifts and initiate targeted action to achieve the plan

- Leverage existing relations as well as develop own relations with existing and potential customers in various locations to position the product/service, gauge customer experience and invoke confidence in the company as a trusted partner;

- Regularly review customer satisfaction trends - initiate necessary actions and mobilize improvements through sales counterparts and delivery teams to plug customer-experience gaps in order to achieve exceptional customer satisfaction scores

4. People management

- Allocate work / responsibility among the team

- Coach and assist in developing a strong second line

- Recommend recruitment and promotions for own team. Plan career progression for them

- Ensure goal setting and performance appraisal of team

- Provide functional guidance wherever needed

- Develop people related interventions/methods for retaining top-talent

5. Learning

- Regularly attend external seminars and conferences on related topics and send the team for the same

- Disseminate gathered knowledge among team members and have regular discussions over recent developments in the real estate industry and online classified portals.

- Review trainings/sales policies/incentives for the sales team

IV. Desired Skills:

Educational Qualifications- MBA in Marketing and Sales

Background:

- Preferably have experience of being Lead of Sales in Online Classified Portals/E-Commerce/Real Estate/Insurance

- Should understand the digital monetisation space and opportunities at deep level

- Should be able to provide strategic inputs on how to define/capture markets for new products plus contribute ideas that go into new product development.
