Require National Sales Head for a leading Broadcasting Media Organization for their TV Business.
Designation : National Sales Head
Experience : 15 to 18 years relevant experience from any broadcasting media
Location : Mumbai / Delhi
Budget : Rs. 35 to 40 Lakhs pa
Reporting to : COO
- This individual must be passionate, driven, have media experience and a strong understanding of Business News Channel.
- The Business Head will be responsible for forging new partnerships, managing current partnerships and executing against deals that will drive growth.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Create and implement effective direct sales strategies and lead nationwide direct sales personnel toward achievement of corporate sales objectives.
- Develop competencies and processes required to create an effective and efficient sales organization.
- Ideation, Conceptualization and sales of events.
- Selling AFPs (Advertiser Funded Programme) with an expertise on financial or Non Financial categories.
- Activation.
- Identifying key thrust areas and devised strategies for sponsorship program for B2B Conferences & Summits.
- Provide leadership through effective communication of vision, active coaching and development while comparing sales results to goals and taking appropriate action to correct when necessary.
- Ensure effective hiring, orientation, training, development and retention of sales team.
- Provide supervision through field visits, observations and measurement of results to include performance appraisals and salary reviews.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts.
- Manage to meet/exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts.
- Establish effective relationships and collaborations with other departments (Marketing, Finance, Customer Service, etc.) to address key business issues and opportunities.
- Maintain competitive knowledge to create and adjust sales strategies.
- Maintain effective relations with existing major accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and repetitive business.
- Formulate and implement innovative strategies and concepts for client.
- Maintain good relationship with local clients & Ad-Agency & generate more business from them.

- Experience and success in recruiting and retaining a high performance sales team and a demonstrated ability to lead and manage a diverse sales team.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve sales plans.
- Proven business analysis and judgment with the ability to proactively manage business and P&L to meet objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to professionally develop and coach team members.
- Strategy development, project management, problem solving, and change management skills.
- Exceptional negotiation skills.
- Ability to build positive working relationships, both internally and externally.
- Ability to effectively present information and negotiate with all levels of management including CFO, CEO, Group COO.
- Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills.
