This role is with a leading MNC in consumer durables, with a line of products that every household would be familiar with in home care, kitchen appliances, everyday utilities and other durables. They have a rich legacy of products and an extensive sales force with a strong foothold across India. They are currently looking for a National Retail Expansion Head to report in to the Sales Director.
The role would involve setting up the retail footprint for the company's exclusive retail channel, and set it up from scratch for a line of products that were previously being sold direct to consumers. The role requires a high degree of familiarity with retail expansion, channel partners, creating a blueprint for retail strategy and appointing business leaders at the national and regional level to take the project forward. There is also a significant amount of time spent in stakeholder management - both external and internal, including training and sales capability teams, regional heads and retail store owners.
We are looking for a candidate who has:
1. 10-12 years of experience in consumer durables in retail expansion
2. Proven track record in setting up a blueprint for retail set-up from scratch
3. Experience in liaising internally and externally with multiple stakeholders across seniority levels
4. Excellent communication and leadership skills
