- To implement the Compliance policy and Compliance framework within the Bank in line with CRCO broader objectives
- To act as nodal point of contact between the CRCO and ORMD teams
- To pass on the interpretation of regulatory guidelines, notifications or circulars to the regional ORM officers for dissemination of information & awareness in the region
- To liaison with the different functional departments to ensure operational risk is embedded within the function and data flows for consolidated risk scoring of the bank.
- To review Key Risk Indicators and present Risk Scoring Dashboard to CRCO
- To create awareness of operational risk inherent in the business , through workshops or training modules so as to develop mitigants and controls and review these on an ongoing basis
Business/ Financials :
- To implement the operational risk framework for assessing, identifying, monitoring and mitigating pertinent operational risks in line with the defined risk appetite of the bank
- To create awareness on the operational risk related policies and guidelines.
- To quantify impact of risks across every vertical (business and functional units) through a scoring mechanism
- To implement risk rating systems and processes in conjunction with the business units
- To ensure the risk assessment as per the risk Appetite and risk limits set by the Board and report key areas of non-compliance to CRCO for appropriate actions
Customer :
- To provide the regional risk and compliance staff with sufficient resources and the access required to prevent/ detect compliance issues / breaches
Internal Process :
- To appropriately modify KRI to include new control measures from the minutes of the Product approval committee
- To convene the OR-ITRC committee meetings and circulate minutes of meetings for actionable and closure
Learning & Innovation :
- To periodically update and disseminate current knowledge of laws and regulations and the information regarding new regulatory developments
- To coordinate and impart a multifaceted educational and training program that focuses on the elements of the operational risk and compliance program, and seeks to ensure awareness creation
- To complete midyear-review and annual appraisal process within specified timelines for self and reportees
Minimum Requirements Of Knowledge & Skills :
- Educational Qualifications - MBA in finance, Bachelor's degree in commerce
- Experience - Overall 15 years of experience in banking business
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in risk /audit & inspection functions.
