Designation: National Legal Manager - Collections  Department: Collections  Immediate Superior: Head – Collections  Experience: 11yrs+  Location: Mumbai  Key Objective of the Job: To enhance collections through legal intervention  Major Deliverables:   - Supporting the collections team of the company to enhance the recovery of dues from the delinquent customers through cost effective legal intervention  - Formulating Strategies for enhancing the collections along with the collections team of the company to improve collections of chronic cases  - Develop and roll out legal training modules to train and develop the field team   - Lead from the front at the time of Crisis by providing timely support to the field team   - Ensuring regular monitoring of the statutory compliances requirements of the company   - Provide assistance, advice and guidance to the Regional Legal Managers, State Legal Managers, Area Legal Managers and the Field collections team  - Setting tie-ups with competent team of law firms / Lawyers to support collections  - Liaise with law firms and the lawyers  - Managing customer / legal escalations and regulatory issues pertaining to collections  - Develop and update the legal manuals and procedures related to collections from time to time  - Design and develop Legal collections system to automate routine affairs like notice management, arbitrations and executions  - Maintaining and developing legal MIS by furnishing the details of the legal intervention taken and the matters defended  Specialized job competencies:  - Drafting, vetting & finalization of Collection related SLA’s and all other legal documents relating to service providers, appointment of law firms / lawyers and agencies  - Ability to strategize legal interventions to optimize recovery  - Strong Cross functional interactions & co ordination  - Thorough understanding of legal procedure  - Motivate & drive a team to achieve results month on month  - Innovative and out of the box thinking  - Process oriented  - Ability to influence  Educational Qualification:   - Must possess a regular degree or a post graduate degree in law from a reputed institute  Other desired attributes:  - Expertise in Drafting of various legal documents and other court related pleadings  - Good understanding of collections and recoveries
