National Head - Travel Trade Sales

A large Hotel Chain operating 14 hotels across India, catering to both inbound and domestic travellers are committed to enhancing revenue streams through strategic engagement with offline and online travel agents. Job Description:

As a National Head - Trade Travel Sales, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth through strategic partnerships with offline and online travel agents across all 14 hotels of the group. The primary objective will be to enhance revenues within the travel trade segment, aiming for a 2X increase by opening new channels of distribution and leading teams effectively in metro areas while developing teams in other regions.

Responsibilities:

Industry Understanding :

- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the travel industry, including both inbound and domestic travel.

- Familiarize yourself with the methods, processes, and terms of engagement with offline and online travel agents to optimize partnerships and drive revenue growth.

Revenue Enhancement:

- Develop and implement strategies to enhance revenues through the travel trade segment, focusing on achieving a 2X increase by opening newer channels of distribution and maximizing sales opportunities with travel agents.

Team Leadership:

- Lead teams in metro areas and develop teams in other regions to effectively execute sales strategies and achieve revenue targets.

- Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure the success and growth of the travel trade sales team.

Relationship Management:



- Build strong relationships with General Managers and other key stakeholders across the organization to ensure alignment and collaboration in driving travel trade sales initiatives.

Strategic Planning:

- Develop and execute comprehensive sales plans for the travel trade segment, leveraging market insights and industry trends to identify opportunities and maximize sales potential.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Graduate or Post Graduate with 15 - 18 years relevant experience in the hospitality industry, with a strong background in hotel travel sales, airline sales, or experience managing hotels from a travel agent's perspective, both online and offline.

- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve exceptional results.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization.

- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a proactive and results-oriented approach to problem-solving.

Reporting : This position reports to the National Head of Sales and maintains a functional reporting relationship to the General Managers across all 14 hotels of the group.

The mission of this role is to develop sales for the travel trade segment (Offline and online travel agents) across all 14 hotels of the group, with a focus on achieving 2X increase in revenue. They key challenge lies in effectively leading and developing sales teams, identifying new channels of distribution, and maximizing sales opportunities within the competitive travel industry.
