National Head - Technical Valuation - Real Estate

- Provide governance oversight and independent view to the risk organization on real estate technical matters such as Periodic random review of valuation reports and highlight concerns / issues to the management team

- Act as an expert in technical matters relating to: statutory laws on real estate, urban / rural planning authorities, local practices and do- s/don- ts in specific markets, types of property etc.

- Qualitative assessment of high ticket real estate properties including real estate projects including developer projects under-construction

- Build a repository of knowledge in the wider credit and risk team in areas relating to risks in accepting real estate as collateral

- Assist in completing independent due-diligence for real estate project in terms of builder profile, project analysis, demand - supply pattern, property price movement etc.

- Publish a once-a-year report on real estate price trends, demand-supply pattern, regulatory/statutory policies related to the sector and identify potential risk area along with attendant safeguards

- Review and update real estate valuation policy and standards in line with market developments and best practice

- Review and update best practices on valuation report structure and content to improve the quality of the valuation report appropriate to the type of lending

Role requirements of the national head : 

- Thorough understanding of real estate market dynamics in India.

- Understanding of local rules and regulations related to real estate industry.

- 10-15 years experience in real estate technical valuation

- Should have 5-6 experience in having performed a similar in large regional or national role
