Interim National Head - Sales - MICE - Luxury Hotel Chain - Delhi


A large Hotel Chain operating 14 hotels across India, offering a diverse portfolio of resorts and business hotels, with a focus on delivering exceptional experiences, are committed to expanding MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events) revenue streams and strengthening their position in the market.

Job Description:

As a National Head - MICE Sales, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and building strong teams within the MICE segment across all 14 hotels of the group. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and execute strategic sales initiatives that capitalize on the immense opportunities within the events and events sales landscape in India.

Responsibilities:

- Understand the Market : Demonstrate a deep understanding of the events and events sales landscape in India, leveraging this knowledge to identify and capitalize on opportunities for MICE revenue growth.

- Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing MICE Sales Team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure the achievement of revenue targets and organizational objectives.

- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies for the MICE segment, collaborating closely with the National Head of Sales and General Managers of individual hotels to align efforts and maximize results.

- Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with General Managers, local sales teams, and key stakeholders to drive collaboration and ensure the successful execution of MICE events across the group.

- Revenue Growth: Drive revenue growth within the MICE segment, aiming to achieve a 2X increase in MICE revenue across the group through targeted sales efforts and effective team management.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Graduate or Post Graduate with 15 - 18 years relevant experience in the hospitality industry, with a strong background in sales and event management.

- Proven track record of success in developing and implementing sales strategies that drive revenue growth within the MICE segment.

- Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve exceptional results.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization.

- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a proactive and results-oriented approach to problem-solving.

Reporting : This position reports to the National Head of Sales with a functional reporting relationship to the General Manager of each hotel where MICE events are held.

The mission of this role is to develop sales for the MICE segment across all 14 hotels of the group, ultimately achieving a 2X increase in MICE revenue. The key challenge lies in the effectively managing and developing a high-performing MICE sales team while navigating the complexities of the events market in India.
