Briefing on Business & Role:

The company is a part of a large conglomerate in India. It is one of the leading companies. The company has divided it's market's into Metro & Emerging markets (Tier 2 cities) for sales purposes. The Tier 2 cities are growing at a rapid pace and the business wants to focus on these markets to enhance growth and market share. The Head Sales - Emerging Markets, will drive sales in Tier 2 cities with specific focus on West (Gujarat & MP), East (Kolkata, Orissa, Jharkhand & NE) & South (Kerala & ROTN). The Sales head for this position will also report to the National Sales Head. The total direct reports will be 15 members.

Areas of Responsibilities:

1. Achievement of Sales Revenue target for the assigned territory

2. Key account management involving closure of large deals greater than Rs.10 mn

3. Maintaining relationship with key accounts (MNCs and large Indian companies), Govt organisations, top architects and Project management companies

4. Leading a team of 15 people for the geography comprising of Zonal Manager, Area Manager, Key Accounts Manager, Projects and Space solutions and Group Manager-Emerging Markets.

5. Ensure payments from clients as per terms of contract. Ensure debtors are under control.

6. Maintain relationship with and expand the dealer network in the region

7. Implement processes and systems (CRM etc)

8. Identification & penetration of new geographies and market segments to drive business growth

Reporting to: BU Head

Education: B.Tech and MBA (preferably from Tier1/Tier 2 B School)

Experience: Overall a minimum of 15-20 Years, with work experience in a B2B model in a large company.

Desired Profile:

1. Excellent communication/presentation skills

2. Demonstrate personal drive and be target oriented

3. Experience of handling a large team displaying strong leadership abilities

4. Proven relationship in building capability of the teams

5. Sales experience in furniture industry will be preferred

6. Ability to understand product specifications as per customer requests. Liaise with customers efficiently and possess trouble shooting ability

7. Aggressive and productive approach towards market development, sales & after sales service

8. Should be able to identify emerging market trends & building a business strategy to face challenges of promising markets
